Issued in 1960,
this is a set of 48 cards. The text printing on the back of the cards
is black.
Set variations
There are three
variations for this set, the variation being on the text side.
In the first example the wording immediately underneath the card
description features the name Rolland Dumais (two "l"s).
In the second example the wording immediately underneath the card
description features the name Roland Dumais (one "l").
In the third example the name remains Roland Dumais (one "l") but
the gap between the thick black bands near the top and the bottom
of the cards is 2mm different (to clarify the band at the top containing
the set name "ANIMALS OF NORTH AMERICA" and the band at the bottom
containing the text "Cards are enclosed in packages of RED ROSE
AND BLUE RIBBON TEA AND COFFEE").
The two variations are known as Roland A and Roland B, where Roland
A (also known as "wide") has a gap of 49mm between these bands and
Roland B has a gap of 47mm between these bands.
